Charlotte Salt Sculptor and Ceramic Artist

An artist based in North Yorkshire, UK. With a long-standing relationship with clay; Charlottes parents set up their own studio pottery, and as long as she can remember she has had clay in her life. It’s because of this that she finds herself being instinctively drawn back to working with clay.

Charlottes clay work is intuitively hand crafted using coiling, slab-building, modelling and pinching techniques. Each piece created is unique, from the brush strokes on the surface to the physical imprints that intentionally remain, serving as a testament to the making process. Charlotte’s work comes with strong cultural and historical connotations that she is keen to assimilate and explore.
